This is a tour of the East End and its links with the Suffragette movement. We uncover the impact of the Bryant & May match girls’ strike and its influence on the local women. This was not just a right to vote, the Suffragette movement created a support system to help other women work during the war and during demonstrations. We see where the grandfather of actress Angela Lansbury lived and worked alongside women to help their cause. We take in the beautiful Victoria Park, HQs and locations of the meets as well as reveal the amazing stories of the brave working class women who helped fight this cause whichever way they could. It is a tale of strength, grit and true determination.
Bookings available for: August 30 @ 6:30 and September 4 @ 6:30
